Discussion Worksheets

I never seem to get enough done in discussion. I can never seem to write fast enough to get it all on the board, either. So I've made worksheet copies of all the stuff we've done in class. Answers will be ready after we've done the worksheet in discussion.

If you want copies of the worksheets or the answers, you'll have to come to discussion and look at my copies.

You should be able to do all of the worksheet examples and all the ones at the end of the chapters we've covered by the time the next exam comes.

Worksheet Topics:

Regarding The String Functions:

You should be able to write all the string functions yourself. You need to know how they work to do well on the final. You MUST Memorize them for the final. Writing them yourself will help you understand how they work, and you'll do much better on the final if you REALLY understand the string functions.

Stuff To Study

In office hours before the second midterm, we did some function-writing drill practice. Some of the examples we did are available in study.txt. You should be able to do them all. There are about 9 different functions. But variations are easy to think up, try more than what's listed. Program them to check to see if your solutions work. We'll do some of these in class if we get enough time. I'll post solutions if I get enough requests for sample code.
